AYCE, properly understood.

Sushi Kami isn’t trying to be omakase. It’s an all-you-can-eat format — and when you evaluate it that way, it makes sense.

The nigiri and sashimi are cut modestly. That’s intentional. This isn’t about oversized slabs of fish; it’s about pacing and repeat ordering. Don’t love the maguro? Order salmon. Prefer yellowtail? Get another round. That’s the point.

For sushi-curious diners, roll enthusiasts, or anyone dining with someone who can eat with conviction, this is a practical choice. There’s enough range — from raw selections to skewers, fried rice, and ramen — to accommodate mixed tastes without stress.

We visited early on a weekday and found a brief wait for tables, though bar seating was immediate. The room filled quickly. Service was steady and unhurried — no pressure to turn the table.

We visited on a Tuesday before 6pm and there was a brief wait for tables; the bar was available immediately and filled up quickly. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and we never felt rushed.

Notably, the beverage program exceeds many comparable AYCE concepts. Full bar, solid sake and soju selection.

The décor is polished, the staff is professional, and the format makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. For the category, this is a reliable option.
